Ranger magazine
Our quarterly membership magazine is free to CMA members (only available in digital format for Student and Supporter categories). Articles cover a wide range of topics, including news from our regional coordinators, national or topical developments, site management, innovative projects, international news and events listings.
Regional and international networking
Our members can actively network through our online training events, social media groups and study days/training events. Some regions also host regional committee meetings.
CMA is active within the International Ranger Federation (IRF) as a founding member. CMA members receive regular IRF bulletins and newsletters, celebrate annual World Ranger Day and have the opportunity to attend the World Ranger Congress that occurs every three years in different locations around the world. There are 150+ member associations across the globe.
As a member of the IRF, CMA is also a member of the European Ranger Federation (ERF), one of its seven regional groupings. With over 30 members, the ERF offers the chance to attend training courses and conferences across Europe.
The CMA has particularly close affiliations with the ranger associations in Scotland, Ireland, Georgia, Portugal and several in Africa.

Covering topics as diverse as butterfly monitoring, dormouse ecology, interpretation and accessibility, they are usually free to members (or heavily discounted). They are an excellent opportunity to develop your skills as well as meeting others working in the sector.
