Ensuring your employees have the relevant competencies is essential when recruiting and retaining your staff. Our independently assessed Accreditation Scheme makes that easier for you.
There are four levels of CMA Accreditation, covering a wide range of knowledge, multiple skill sets and flexibility to adapt that expertise to different situations, sites and communities.
How can our Accreditation Scheme help you?
Although important and valuable, normal qualifications – such as HNDs or university degrees – and length of service in a profession does not necessarily evidence competency. Our Accreditation Scheme is an additional and formally assessed way to demonstrate competency.
Recruitment: When recruiting, if an applicant is seen to have been through the process of CMA Accreditation, you can be assured that they have met that level of competency, saving you time and giving you assurance that an individual is proficient and fully capable of undertaking the work at that level of competency.
Current employees: If your current employees go through our Accreditation process, as well as proving certain competencies, it may also highlight where competencies are lacking. You can then focus discussions on which competencies may need further training, to improve their professional development and which may help with staff retention. Accredited members are also required to take CPD to remain Accredited by submitting a completed CPD record when requested.
Who can apply for Accreditation?
Our Accreditation Scheme is for anyone who works or volunteers in the countryside, parks and greenspace sector. They must be CMA members (employees of Corporate Members get discounted CMA membership).
CMA Accreditation is a way to confirm, recognise and value professional competencies. Our Accredited individuals are valued and sought after, helping to raise the overall profile of the countryside and greenspace management profession.
