Corporate Membership is ideal for organisations or teams who are involved in any aspect of countryside and urban green space management. By becoming a corporate member you will be showing your support for the CMA, demonstrating your commitment to professional development within the field of countryside management and providing your staff / volunteers with opportunities to network, learn and share best practice.
Benefits of Corporate Membership
Cost for Corporate Membership of CMA is dependent on the size of your organisation, and it provides a range of benefits and privileges, including:
- Sharing and developing best practice
- Professional development
- Events and campaigning
Sharing and developing best practice
Your staff and volunteers will have access to our facebook group which provides our members with a platform to raise awareness of new ideas and schemes, share best practice and learn from like-minded professionals.
You will receive complimentary copies of our full-colour quarterly journal, RANGER. Regional newsletters are also produced in our more active regions.
We offer special rates to your staff / volunteers if they wish to attend one of our study days where members showcase innovative projects, tackle issues affecting countryside management and offer regional networking opportunities. Similarly, our occasional training days and conferences provide members with the skills to meet the current and future challenges in the sector.
Many of our corporate members and supporters of the CMA offer our members either reduced or free places on their own training days and we would encourage you to do likewise. We can also advertise your training events or work in partnership to administer and deliver them to help ensure they are a success.
We have preferential rates for people within your organisation or team who wish to join the CMA as an individual Member or Accredited Member. They will benefit from a 20% discount on the normal rate.
You will receive a 10% discount off any adverts or inserts you place in either RANGER or Members News; also a 10% discount off any future publications or products brought out by the CMA.
You will receive an organisation listing and hyperlink in the Corporate Member listing on the CMA website and a Corporate Membership certificate acknowledging your support of the CMA.
Your membership will support our delivery of a high-quality benchmarking process for those individual members seeking continual professional development. People attending our study / training days receive a certificate of attendance and CPD points towards gaining or retaining accredited membership with the CMA.
Networking and Campaigning
We are working at a national level with other organisations that are active in the parks and green space sector to jointly develop robust and effective responses to challenges that impact on the sector. We will work on your behalf to share knowledge and campaign on the issues that matter most to people working in countryside management.
In recent years we have also established memorandums of understanding with the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM), the Scottish Countryside Rangers Association (SCRA) and the National Trust and we continue to find ways to improve information sharing with like-minded organisations.
You will become part of a global network of ‘ranger’ associations. The CMA is one of the founding members of the International Ranger Federation (IRF) and over the years we have provided opportunities for our members to travel and meet rangers around the world as well as supporting those from developing countries or the families of rangers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
