Meet the Killerton Ranger team leading on nature restoration across the 10 square mile estate.
Learn how the National Trust are establishing 1 million trees, replanting 20km of hedges, take a look at the nationally significant ancient and veteran tree collection, discover ideas on restoring functioning rivers and providing a landscape for Black Poplar conservation, as well as rare breed conservation grazing amongst 250k visitors, large scale woodland creation and innovative nature connection work with communities.
Morning walk 4km. Afternoon walk 6km.

Please bring your own lunch or buy from the National Trust Cafe. Park in main visitor car park, EX5 3LE. Normal parking fees apply for this event (as NT are kindly providing free teas and coffees).
Meet at Engine House next to visitor car park.
- 10.00 Arrival & Refreshments in Engine House (next to visitor car park).
- 10.30 Start with introduction to Killerton Estate.
- 10.45 Walk 1: Wood pasture and Veteran Trees Management + Three Rivers Landscape Recovery Scheme.
- 12.30 Lunch
- Walk 2: Floodplain Restoration including Black Poplar Project and Community Forest Tour.
- 3.00 Refreshments and networking.
- 3.30 Depart.
