A visit to the hay meadows at Joan’s Hill Farm to look at and discuss meadow management and restoration, including: aftermath grazing, hay making, livestock watering, hedgerow management, orchard management and public access.
The event is outdoors and involves a walk of around 3.5km on surfaced paths and across farmland including some rough ground and slopes.
Please bring your own drinks/snacks.
Meet at Haugh Woods/Forestry England Car Park (HR1 4QX). OS Map Ref: SO 592 365. Parking is free but space is limited, when travelling to a study day please car share where possible.
