An exciting opportunity to learn from and input into how the Countryside Regeneration Trust manages a farm through change.
Bere Marsh Farm is a small (92 acre) farm close to the village of Shillingstone in the Blackmore Vale area of North Dorset. Bought by the Countryside Regeneration Trust in 2020 we are just starting an exciting period of change for the farm.
We will be restoring habitats and reintroducing keystone flora and fauna, all while in a very public position, with a major Right of Way running through the farm.
We are still working on the management plan and are keen to see what our colleagues in the CMA think and have an open discussion about the factors affecting farming, conservation and public access.
We will start with an introduction during teas and coffee’s and then head out on a guided walk.
There is plenty of parking. There are also bike racks available. The farm is on the North Dorset Trailway and cycling is encouraged if possible.
Tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch. (There is a Co-op a short walk away if needed.)
This study event is free for CMA Members, non-members £20 (plus Eventbrite booking fee).
