Coppicing is a traditional woodland management technique - learn how and why it works. A practical hands-on day undertaking the coppicing of Hazel trees. Gain an insight and understanding of how it works from the tree's point of view, the potential outcomes of a range of ways to coppice, and methods to protect coppice from deer/rabbit damage. Durlston Country Park National Nature Reserve was Dorset’s first Country Park and has been owned and managed by Dorset County Council since 1976.
