Sustainable Management in the Uplands for Public Goods

August 23rd @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Eycott Hill – Photo credit: Julia Garner

A tour of 216 hectare Eycott Hill Nature Reserve to look at some of the habitat restoration and natural flood management works undertaken as part of a lottery funded project. We’ll look at hay meadow, upland woodland and heathland restoration. We’ll also look at low-input cattle grazing and how farming and conservation can work together.

There is a small car park but no indoor facilities at Eycott Hill so please come prepared for walking over rough and boggy terrain – waterproofs and wellies are recommended. Please also bring a packed lunch and water.

This event is being organised by Cumbria Wildlife Trust, for further information please contact Imogen Rutter on imogenr@cumbriawildlifetrust.org.uk.

This event is free for CMA Members.

Non CMA Members no charge, but please make a donation.
