Introduction to Coppicing

Coppicing is a traditional woodland management technique – learn how and why it works.

A practical hands-on day undertaking the coppicing of Hazel trees. Gain an insight and understanding of how it works from the tree’s point of view, the potential outcomes of a range of ways to coppice, and methods to protect coppice from deer/rabbit damage.

Tea and Coffee provided (please bring your own cup). Please bring a packed lunch with you.
