Bird Identification for Beginners

January 19th @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Learn to identify common birds. Your classroom will be Hampstead Heath, 320 hectares of stunning urban green space in North London.

An ideal introductory course for those who are interested in learning the basics of bird identification skills. We’ll introduce you the techniques involved in identifying common trees, and you’ll gain new skills.

Meet at the Heath’s volunteer hub, the Hive, for a short introduction. The majority of the workshop will be based outdoors and guides, binoculars and scopes are available to borrow.

The Hive is located at the end of Nassington Road, close to Hampstead Heath overground, bus termini and Northern Line.  Hot drinks and biscuits provided, bring a packed lunch.  There is a cafe on site.

For further information please contact organiser Colin Houston of Heath Hands on london@countrysidemanagement.org.uk or 0208 4589102

Fee:  CMA Members Free, Non-Members £40 + booking fee.

Closing date for bookings is 17th January.  Bookings via Eventbrite.
