Basic Tree Mechanics and Common Sense Management

May 7th @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm

We are lucky enough to have tree expert Bob Watson for a day, looking at basic tree biology and mechanics and how this relates to managing the trees on our land. Author of ‘Trees: Their Use, Management, Cultivation and Biology – A Comprehensive Guide’, and a former Head of School at the National School of Forestry, Bob is known for his down to earth style and passion for the subject.

Tea and coffee will be provided. A table will be booked for a local pub lunch at about 13:00 so please bring money if you would like to join us.

For more information about the event, please email matt.wilcoxon@shrewsburytowncouncil.gov.uk or ring Matt on 07976 020247

The depot is on the ‘Pitchford’ and ‘Acton Burnell’ road, not on the A5. Look for the green metal gates. If you see silver gates with Veolia or Shropshire Council on, then you have gone too far.

Fee: CMA members – free; Non-members £40 (+ admin fee)

Booking closes 30th April 2019. Booking via Eventbrite
