Friday 27th November 2009

Kent and Medway Biological Centre, Brogdale Farm, Brogdale Road, Faversham, Kent ME13 8XZ

A unique introduction to the work the Biological Records Centres. The BRC was established in 1964 and is national focus for species recording across the British Isles . It works to coordinate the efforts of over 60,000 volunteers and professional naturalists. BRC is central to the development of the National Biodiversity Network (NBN) which includes the involvement of 80 National biological societies and over 70 local record centres .
This event will improve your understanding of the work of one of these local centres and how the recording in your county here in the south east can assist flora and fauna management and conservation throughout the country.
