This study day aims to equip rangers and other countryside staff in lowland areas of the UK with the knowledge to suitably prepare for missing person incidents.
The day will give an overview of search and rescue in the UK, detail the lowland search and rescue process, discuss the ideal of pre-planning, explain the initial steps rangers may undertake and provide an opportunity to discuss how to improve participant’s current missing person procedures.
For background to this study day see the forthcoming article in Ranger 91.
