Ian Rowat to retire

CMA stalwart and long time Director of the Malvern Hills Conservators Ian Rowat has announced his retirement. He said:

I was really pleased to be elected to the National Trust council for a second term, I was returned with the most votes. The Trust have asked me to help shape their countryside agenda which will enable me to act at a national level, which I am understandably excited about. In addition I am a mountain leader for Ramblers Worldwide Holidays and instead of one tour per year it would be rather nice to do two or three trips. So as from April 2012 I shall be retiring from the Malvern Hills Conservators. I have enjoyed by full time job which has been pretty demanding so I look forward not to hanging my boots up, but getting out there.

Best of luck Ian, and thanks for all you've done for CMA over the years!
