Nature Scholarship Provides Chances for Young European Conservationists

The Alfred Toepfer Natural Heritage Scholarships 2011 are now open for applications! The award provides three young (under 35) European conservationists with 3000 Euros to undertake a study visit to one or more protected areas in European countries other than their own. It is given by the Alfred Toepfer Foundation and the EUROPARC Federation. The deadline for applications is Friday May 20th 2011.
CMA member Matt McGettigan won a scholarship in 2010 and is using his award to undertake visits to Spain this year to study woodland management techniques.

International Junior Ranger Camp 2011

Registrations for the 2011 International Junior Ranger Camp will start very soon. The camp will take place from 16 - 23 July in the Weerribben-Wieden National Park (NL).
Several CMA members run very successful Junior Ranger programmes and have attended previous camps.
The 2010 Camp was held in Mendip Hills AONB.
