In conjunction with The Tellus Mater Foundation, Wilderness Foundation UK www.wildernessfoundation.org.uk is this year launching a new scholarship programme - Sirius. The Sirius Programme seeks to work with young people in the UK who are passionate about the environment, helping to enhance a new generation of inspired young leaders and advocates in this field. The scholarships valued at over £700 will include a leadership workshop, experiential learning about the environment on a five-day trail in Scotland in the summer, and an advocacy and campaigning workshop on the students' return, ensuring that we harness passion and commitment for the future. The participants will be invited to form part of a youth conference held at the end of the year. If you are, or know someone aged 15-20 years old who has a real desire to make a difference to the environment, then please contact Jo Roberts or Richard Corby on 01245 443073 to request further information or an application form for this fantastic opportunity, or alternatively e mail to info@wildernessfoundation.org.uk
Each student/young person chosen to participate in this exciting programme will be required to make a contribution of just £100.
The closing date for applications to be received is 30th June 2008 so act quickly.
